The Apple Blossoms are a 2-sided hand embroidery technique.
There are 21 pages of step-by-step diagrams and detailed instructions on how to work each stitch which are reversible so that the back looks the same as the front.
Stitches include: Satin stitch, padded satin stitch, stem stitch, French knots and long and short stitch.
The design can be worked on a taffeta fabric using DMC No. 8 Perle cotton thread or worked on silk fabric with Au Ver a Soie silk threads (I recommend to reduce the design size by 50% as the silk thread is finer than than the Perle cotton).

Needles – Size 7 Crewel Embroidery
The size 7 crewel embroidery needle is used in my 2-Sided Apple Blossoms and Blossom Branch kits.
The kits come with two needles but you may want to purchase more in case you mislay your needle.
The needle has a long eye for easier threading, a slender shaft and a sharp point to the needle so that the stitches can be worked close together and there is more control for the placement of the stitches.

Goldwork Still Life Kit
The Goldwork Still Life is an intermediate design.
The embroidery is worked on a cream silk dupioni fabric and the design is drawn on the fabric, so you do not have to worry about transferring the design yourself.
The pineapple is padded with felt and crochet cotton and then gold embroidery threads sewn over top. The grapes, cherries and leaves are worked in silk threads in surface embroidery stitches.

Iris Applique Pattern
You can purchase the Iris Applique pattern as a hard copy that will be mailed to you or PDF file that you can download.
I no longer sell a kit for the Iris Applique due to the man hours it takes to put a kit together.
The instructions have step-by-step diagrams for the different methods of sewing down the fabrics and for the surface embroidery stitches to embellish the design.

Cross-Stitch Meets Blackwork – Landscape
The Cross-Stitch Meets Blackwork Designs are great transition designs for those new to blackwork and who have previously done cross-stitch, although no experience of cross-stitch or counted thread is necessary.

The Blackwork Fuchsia design is an intermediate design in my blackwork art embroidery kits.
The fuchsia is a counted form of hand embroidery in which interesting blackwork patterns are worked on the flower. Dimension is achieved by changing the thickness of the embroidery thread and the density of the pattern, creating a realistic design. Gold thread is used to highlight areas of the design.
