The needle lace sampler of stitches also known as detached buttonhole are worked in purple and purple/blue/pink variegated No. 12 Perle cotton threads from a white lacy ribbon over pink silk Dupioni silk fabric – fabric colour is close to DMC Embroidery Cotton #225. This sampler has a wonderful variety of needle lace/detached buttonhole stitches. Beppy probably intended to finish the needlework into a small cushion or mounted as a sampler, there is a 2 1/2 inch border of brown fabric for finishing. Needlework is sold as is. Approximate time it took to make: 20 hours.
