A sampler of needle lace stitches also known as detached buttonhole are worked in cream Perle No. 8 cotton thread from a white lacy tape over a fuchsia satin fabric – fabric colour is close to DMC Embroidery Cotton #3721. This sampler has a wonderful variety of needle lace/detached buttonhole stitches. Beppy probably intended to finish the needlework into a cushion or mounted as a sampler, there is a 2 1/2 inch border of fuchsia fabric for finishing. Needlework is sold as is. Approximate time it took to make: 26 hours.
