The needle lace sampler of stitches also known as detached buttonhole are worked in cream and warm light browns No. 5 Perle cotton threads from a white lacy ribbon over ecru cotton fabric – fabric colour is close to DMC Embroidery Cotton Colour Ecru. This sampler has a wonderful variety of needle lace/detached buttonhole stitches. Beppy probably intended to finish the needlework into a cushion or mounted as a sampler, there is a 1 1/2 inch border of ecru fabric for finishing. Needlework is sold as is. Approximate time it took to make: 20 hours.
